New members required for Expert Advisory Group: Medicinal Chemicals 2
The British Pharmacopoeia Commission is seeking to appoint new members to Expert Advisory Group: Medicinal Chemicals 2 (EAG: MC2). Appointments are for a four-year term.
This EAG mainly elaborates drug product monographs for aromatic synthetics, sulphonamides and phenothiazines. Members of EAGs should have experience in setting specifications for human/veterinary medicines and analytical chemistry.

New Expert Panel: Veterinary Medicines
The British Pharmacopoeia Commission endorsed the formation of a new Expert Panel for Veterinary Medicines (VET) in September 2010. The remit of the Expert Panel is to review the current published monographs for Veterinary Medicines and associated General Monographs and Supplementary Chapters. The Panel will also determine suitable criteria for the elaboration of new monographs for Veterinary Medicines and review the current work programme.
Stakeholders are invited to submit any comments to the Expert Panel for consideration via e-mail (bpcom@mhra.gsi.gov.uk).
The first meeting of the Panel was held on 26 September 2011. Minutes will be posted on the website when available.
British Pharmacopoeia 2012
The BP 2012 is now available, effective from 1st January 2012. It is available in hardcopy, CD-ROM or online versions. The publication package can be purchased from The Stationery Office TSO

- European Pharmacopoeia 7th edition material up to and including Supplement 7.2
- The BP 2012 online includes three free in-year updates to harmonise with the European Pharmacopoeia
