Monographs
The current edition of the British Pharmacopoeia contains over 3,000 monographs for drug substances, excipients and formulated preparations. Items used exclusively in veterinary medicine in the UK are included in the BP (Veterinary).
Monographs are prepared by the BP Secretariat working in collaboration with manufacturers and interested parties, the BP Laboratory, the British Pharmacopoeia Commission (BPC) and its Expert Advisory Groups (EAGs), Panels of Experts and Working Parties.
